Description: Great signed original 1928 barn fresh hand carved & painted folk art totem pole with all over carved design. The pole is dated "1928" and is carved "BSA" and many sets of initials which likely corresponds to the boys in a Boy Scouts troop, also "Semper fidelis". The detail is great and the original paint still pops. There are many carvings all over the pole including Chiefus Eagle Beakus, a Salem witch riding a broom, a man with a top hat, eagle, snake, hawk, lion, deer, hearts, face, glasses, airplane, crossed swords, star, etc.. The pole stands approx. 96" tall. The paint finish is original and is in very good condition with some areas of loss as seen in the photos< the paint is very stable, it is not flaking off, otherwise it shows expected use and age wear. There has been no touch-ups or repairs. - (please view all photos for the best representation of quality and condition). I have taken the lamp apart for easier and more cost effective shipping, it looks like it should ship in two boxes(one with the center rod and the other with the many parts). The items I list are primarily antique or vintage, and may have some minor flaws. I try to mention all damage or wear to the best of my ability; but I don't hold these pieces to the same standard as I would if they were new.
