Description: Gorman Rupp # 12950-003 Bellows Metering Pump Product Information :The Gorman Rupp Industries (GRI) model # 12950-003 is a Bellows Metering Pump and Motor unit, Standard series, 2-1/2 Inch Bellows, coupled to a 39 RPM, 115 Volt Motor. These pumps have a dry run capability, are self-priming, have no dynamic seals, are corrosion resistant, and have long, maintenance-free operation. The motors are UL recognized and continuous duty rated with a minimum life expectancy of 2000 hours. The standard motor is an open, shaded pole gearmotor. Perpetual running of motor is not recommended. These metering pumps operate on a positive displacement principle, and are designed to displace both corrosive and noncorrosive fluids. Accurate to plus/minus 0.5 percent from stroke to stroke, when pump is set 50 percent to 100 percent of full stroke. Discharge pressure is maintained over the entire flow range of the pump. Poppet valves are used to prevent back flow; and springs are available to provide a positive shutoff, preventing siphoning through the pump in applications where a positive suction head exists. The flow rate of all bellows pumps can be adjusted by modifying the length of the discharge stroke. Adjustments can be made down to 10 percent of full stroke. Adjustment CANNOT be made while pump is operating. An adjusting screw changes the stroke length of an eccentric crank. Note: Best priming and metering accuracy occurs when the stroke length is 50 percent or greater.
