Description: I am offering a truly gorgeous antique Carnelian hand carved bead necklace, with an 48" length. There are 38 hand carved beads, each having the Chinese Shou symbol, as well as a curved design. There are 39 small Carnelian spacer beads.The larger beads are 16.65 MM (about .65"). The necklace weighs 242 grams (8.5 oz).I believe the clasp to be 14K gold. It has a stamped maker's mark, but no 14K stamp. The hue and vibrance of the stones are stunning, with the colors ranging from burnt orange to brick red; many of them having multiple hues within one bead. I have owned this unique necklace for 40+ years; it was purchased from an antique dealer. One of the knots at the clasp has been repaired. The string itself is weak, and it should be restrung. See the closeup photos. I always wore it doubled, for a length of 24". You likely won't see another necklace like this one! Comparable item listings are over $1000!
