THIS BEAUTIFUL CHARGER IS DECORATED WITH HAND PAINTED HEAVILY APPLIED ENAMELS IN VARIOUS DESIGNS AROUND THE OUTSIDE BODY WITH A BLUE AND WHITE FIGURAL SCENE IN THE LARGE CENTER MEDALLION. THE DESIGNS FEATURE STYLIZED BIRDS, ROOSTERS AND COLORFUL MEDALLIONS AND "DIAPER" PATTERNS IN SHADES OF RED-RUST, TAN, GOLD, GREEN AND CHARTREUSE WITH COBALT BLUE IN THE CENTER. MEASURES 2" HIGH AND 14 1/2" IN DIAMETER. THE PORCELAIN IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS, CRACKS OR REPAIRS. THERE IS ONE DARK SPOT ON THE EDGE OF THE CENTER MEDALLION THAT IS A FIRING BURN FROM PRODUCTION THAT IS UNDER THE GLAZE. THE ENAMELING IS VIBRANT AND IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO NOTED CRAZING, PAINT FLAKING OR OTHER NOTED FLAWS. THE PORCELAIN HAS AN ORANGE PEAL TEXTURE WHICH IS MOST VISIBLE ON THE UNDECORATED BACK SIDE OF CHARGER. BASE HAS THREE FIRING MARKS IN THE CENTER AND AN UNGLAZED FOOT RING. THERE IS A VERY FAINT NO-HARM NICK ON THE BOTTOM OF THE FIRING RING MENTIONED ONLY FOR ACCURACY. NO OTHER NOTED FLAWS. THE BACK OF THE CHARGER IS DECORATED WITH A COBALT SCROLL DESIGN THAT ALTERNATES WITH A RUST FLOWER WITH COBALT LEAVES. THE BASE FOOT RING HAS THREE COBALT LINES ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE FOOT RING AND ONE ON THE INSIDE AND THERE IS A COBALT CHOP MARK ALSO ON THE BASE.THIS IS A GORGEOUS AND ELABORATELY DECORATED LARGE CHARGER. IT IS VERY UNUSUAL AND DEFINITELY MAKES A DECORATIVE STATEMENT!
