This book has several condition issues as follows: the tissue guards are heavily stained, but they’ve done the job of protecting the illustrations. A number of pages are also stained. Previous owner has place light pencil check marks and underling on some pages. These can be erased. Board are discolored. Priced accordingly. This is a scarce historical book about the Hillyer’s one of Waupun’s most prominent families. Edwin Hillyer (1825-1908) was an American industrialist from Wampun Wisconsin. He was heavily connected to several early Waupun industries. Hillyer played a major role in constructing the Milwaukee and Horicon Railroad. He was elected as a member of the Wisconsin legislature.
