There are many variants of this species, and the golden/aura variant is known for its lvibrant coloration. While Golden Lloydiella naturally grows emersed, it is very adaptable to long-term submersed conditions. In addition to being an excellent aquarium plant, it is also ideal for paludariums and terrariums. Golden Lloydiella is an easy plant to maintain. It does not require CO2 supplementation, though it will certainly benefit from it. It will look its best under moderate to high lighting and will be sturdiest under high lighting. Due to the thin texture of its leaves, Golden Lloydiella is not suitable for aquariums with destructive animals such as crayfish, large cichlids, or goldfish.
