She was born Diane Lands in New Orleans and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, as the middle child of seven siblings and the eldest girl of two. She is a Born-Again Believer in Christ, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost and called into the Lords service to preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the nation.
