Description: Beautiful original 1977 first English translation edition of the beloved Gnomes book by Dutch author Wil Huygen with the famed illustrations by Rien Poortvliet. This copy is very nearly perfectly pristine. The dustjacket has no tears or creases but has some extremely slight signs of aging and a little mark or two, and seeks to have a bit of dust that doesn’t quite wipe off... not bad. The boards and binding are perfect, and the pages are crisp and clean throughout. One page has a light crease, but that’s the only thing that can be said to be an imperfection. It is very rare to find a first printing in such nice condition. Truly lovely. Hard to beat.
