Description: This listing is for an authentic vintage sample of vintage wire fencing. This wire features a Joseph F. Glidden patent, dated November 24, 1874. This wire is called "Glidden's Two Point Barbs on Round & Teardrop Lines with Barb on Round" by collectors. (ref Hagemeier No.378-B). This wire features two twisted together line wires. The barbed line is round and the other line is teardrop shaped in cross section. Barbs are two pointed made by wrapping round barbing wire twice around the round line wire. Wire sample is at least 18" in length. It shows age and use wear with light pitting. There are three barbs, well spaced and cut is well centered. There is some bending of points, but there are no broken or missing points. Wire is in good used condition. This sample of antique barbed wire is absolutely old and authentic and sells with no reserve. Shipping will be $4.50, within the United States.
