Description: PW3017. Charles Gibson Magnum tangerine Crimp Rose Museum Piece. This large pedestal crimp rose is signed with a hot stamp: Gibson 1987. It’s a stunning piece with a striking and perfectly centered and formed tangerine (light orange) rose. Condition is excellent. It’s one of the finest Charles Gibson weight I have owned. Diameter: 3 1/4 inches; height: 5 inches; two pounds. Although paperweights were a sideline for Gibson Glass (1970s-2006), they made some great crimp roses. The owner of the company, Reverend Charles Gibson [1933-2015], had a particular fondness for them, which led to the production of stunning crimp rose weights. They are quite scarce.Frank Daniels Paperweight Store
