Description: Just in time for Halloween and winter holiday parties, here's one and half yards of sequinned black knit fabric for a retro skirt or delightful costume accents. This knit fabric has shirring elastic along one selvedge, perfect for a waistband, or sleeve cuffs. A little effort would make it into a fantastic skirt. Both selvedges are completely finished – no hemming needed!The elastic edge is a generous 43 inches long when unstretched, enough for a plus-size waistband. As you can see from the video the elastic has a lot of give. The other edge has no elastic and is 62 inches. Due to the knit construction all of the fabric has some stretch. The fabric is 18.5 inches wide. If you wanted to make it into a skirt this would be the length of the garment.This fancy fabric is as I found it in a thrift store with no labeling and tape on the raw edges. This type of material is prone to raveling so I left the tape in place. One cut edge has both sides taped and the other only has the wrong side taped. The base fabric is a bulky synthetic, probably acrylic, polyester or nylon.
