Description: Malvern, Gladys. The Queen’s Lady. Philadelphia: Macrae Smith, 1965. Octavo. Hardcover, green green boards, quartered with black, green lettering. 501pp. Very good in a very good dust jacket with original price clipped. NOT book club. Top and bottom edges of boards faded. The dust jacket has long been protected in a Mylar dust jacket cover. On the table of contents page, there was a rubber stamp that said East Hanover School. That is the only rubber stamp or anything else that might be considered a library marking on this book. I can’t tell if it’s a first; the publisher is long gone, and publishers were then inconsistent about listing subsequent printings. One page is folded. Straight, sound, and sweet. Satisfaction is guaranteed. Historical fiction about Richard III and his Anne Neville from the point of view of a lady in waiting. Takes the view that Richard was a bad guy. My last photo is a close-up of the text so you can get some idea of the difficulty level. Extremely rare in this condition.
