Description: FROM MADEIRA WITH LOVE....! Found in an estate liquidation on the island of Madeira in Portugal, that of a retired antiques dealer. Vintage fine porcelain Teapot identified by the maker, "Richard Ginori, Made in Italy". The pattern noted as "Fiesole" or "Italian Scene". Dating from the second half of the last century, the pot has survived free of chips, abrasions or cracks, no wear to the scenic decoration in the center or on the rim. Two flea bites on the very tip of two rose petals that make up the lid finial. PLEASE NOTE, THE FIESOLE ROSE FINIAL LID FITS PERFECTLY, HOWEVER IS NOT THE ORIGINAL OR CORRECT LID FOR THIS POT. (THE ORIGINAL LID HAD A KNOB WITH A STEAM HOLE AS WELL AS AN ATTACHED LIP TO ENGAGE IN THE SLOT OF THE POT RIM). The pot stands overall 5 inches tall and measures 9 inches across, measured from the tip of the spout to the edge of the handle. It has a capacity of approximately 6 cups. I have inserted a standard size playing card in one photo as a reference for size. PLEAES NOTE...... THIS LISTING IS FOR THE POT IN FINE ORIGINAL CONDITION WITH A PERFECTLY FITTING LID, HOWEVER, IT IS NOT THE ORIGINAL LID. AT SOME POINT, THE OWNER BROKE THE ORIGINAL LID AND OPTED FOR A REPLACEMENT THAT IS FROM A DIFFRENT GINORI FIESOLE PIECE. The overall look is very appealing. MUCH OBLIGED
