Tony identified that the top carve on these models from this year was the closest Gibson has produced to the original ‘54 outside of the custom shop, and set about transforming it to ‘54 spec. This is not a case of just adding some period correct hardware and a refin, it is a total rework of the guitar: New inlays, binding, reworked fingerboard, reshaping the headstock, new correct headstock logo inlay, side dots and more.
