The pieces leave the seller whole and unmelted, and the individual piece bags are sealed (have never been opened for food safety). The sticks are then placed in a hard plastic box that clasps shut, which is then wrapped and placed in a sturdy cardboard box for shipping. Rough handling by the shipping companies (Japan Post then domestic post company), being left in the sun or a hot mailbox/delivery truck are out of the control of the seller. In the case of damage, the buyer is responsible to take photos of the damage, including the outside packaging and the waybill label. The buyer must also bring all the contents and the outside packaging to their local postal system and file the damaged items claim (form PS3831 in the USA) prior to being able to request any sort of refund or replacement. Storage: Avoid direct sunlight and store in a cool place below 28°C/ 82°F. As this is a consumable product, returns are generally not accepted.
