Description: Item is in VERY GOOD to GOOD Condition. It has some shelf wear expected for a used vintage book, but it is in very good shape overall. The pages inside are in very good shape with no highlighting, marks, or writing; no dog-earing or bent pages. The laminated cover is in good shape with no scratches or tears; minimal to some fraying along the edges, but there is a bit more wear on the bottom and top edges and foot and crown of the spine from shelf rubbing. All corners are mildly bumped; there is a bent corner on the back top left and bottom left, and a small torn corner on the back top right, again from shelf rubbing, but these are not obtrusive. There is some discoloration on the top back from light exposure; it has been on a shelf for years with this top part exposed. It is faint.There is no crease along the spine; the spine binding is tight, no loose pages, and in good shape (please see pictures as they are part of the description). This book is out of print and increasingly rare. It is the 1977 American Edition of this book, first published in Great Britain in 1976, with an introduction by Mick Farren, who edited it. Though an American 1977 printing, it is still part of the first edition from 1976. The posters in this book are not tear-out; they are beautifully reproduced here in gorgeous color, printed in Italy by Mohn-Gordon LTD. They are examples of the psychedelic graphic art of the times and some are very simple, some are more complicated, but all are exquisite.A lovely book and great window into the times. Farren's comments on the history of the period that produced these posters is helpful and elucidating. Great for nostalgia buffs, or if you love the 1960's, or if you are just an art lover.
