While serving as a visual guide for riders and trainers, this program will also be one of the main educational tools used in USEF Judge's clinics. Our goal is to demonstrate the proper way to perform the USEF Hunter Seat Equitation tests and the basic training movements that are commonly used to create balance, flexibility and strength for jumping horses. Demonstrations illustrate how Hunter Seat flatwork and movements are based in Dressage. We also discuss the importance and difference of the rider's position in each discipline. The movements shown can be and are often used in USEF Talent Search classes. Whenever appropriate, we discuss the level of difficulty and appropriateness of these movements to the level and proficiency of the rider.
