Description: This vintage postcard from Germany's Bavaria region is a true gem for collectors and history lovers alike. Dated July 8th, 1893, this 131 year old treasure features a beautiful canceled 5 Pfennig stamp and bears a handstamped cancellation mark. The black and white design is striking and captures the essence of the era. This is an oldie to excite and be a highlightof your collection. Perhaps find someone fluent in old German to help you unravel the message on the postcard that features mysterious "red" numbers and areas of the text underlined in "red" ink. Red ink was not common from the dozens of postcards I have accumulated in my collection. This card is in used condition. It has not been graded or certified. It is a postal card stationery type and was issued between 1891-1900 in Germany & Colonies. This item is perfect for anyone interested in adding a unique piece of history to their collection. The penmanship on this postcard is painstakingly precise. Of interest are two areas where there are mysterious red numbers. They are "N442". Also, there are text underlined in red. It must be very important. Germans usually don't go out of their way to hammer home a point unless it is critical. Please check out the attached photos. The item pictured is the exact item you will receive. I strive for next business day shipping when possible. Thank you very much. Semper Fi..............First Sergeant
