Description: The Close Combat Badge was established in 1942 in order to recognize the bravery of the German soldier in hand-to-hand combat. It was instituted in three classes: gold, silver and bronze. This is a fully-functional die-cast replica of the silver version of the badge which is appropriate for wear by German veterans and Wehrmacht reenactors. It complies with the laws of the German Federal Republic (Bundesrepublik). Please note that the mounting pin is wide like the original medals so it must be mounted through loops sewn to the tunic.You will be pleased with the high quality of the badge.
