Schwarzburger under the directorship of Pfeiffer (of Meissen fame) produced some of the best figural porcelains of the 20th century. This model dates to circa 1920 and is finely decorated in muted tones of the period. Naturalistic underglaze painting of the standing dog on an elongated plinth, with incised mark on the back upper side, marked underside with the factory stamped mark "Schwarzburger Werkstätten für Porzellankunst", model no. U 1245. Measures 12 cm high by 14 cm long by 5 cm wide. The piece is in perfect condition and super cute!
