He then spent two years as a medic in the U.S. Army, serving in Viet Nam. During that time, he befriended many Vietnamese, who became subjects of his numerous paintings. He is best known for painting the beauty and realism of his Vermont landscapes and still life subjects. Gerald has received over fifty First Place and Best of Show Awards. His art graces the walls of many private collectors and corporations.
