Description: A George III silver silver sifter ladle, with attractive later embossed and engraved decoration to the bowl and stem, front and reverse. There is a fine crest of a hippocampus head and the bowl has been gilded. Hallmarked for London 1785, maker William Sumner I. It measures 17.5cm (6 7/8") long and 5.5cm (2 1/8") wide.
