"Georgia A Short History"-Coulter-1947-2nd Ed-Rare w/ Dust Jacket-Illustrs Maps

Description: Offered is the vintage book "Georgia A Short History", written by E. Merton Coulter and published by the University of North Carolina Press in Chapel Hill. This is the "revised and enlarged edition", printed in 1947. It is a stated second printing. There are numerous black and white photos, illustrations and maps and one two-page color map. The original dust jacket is included. This is a rare find with the dust jacket; at the time of original listing I could not find any other copies with jacket for sale on eBay. The book is approx. 9 1/4" x 6 1/2" and contains 510 pages, including the index. It is in good to very good condition. The green hard cloth cover has almost no wear, but does have some fading around the edges and a few small spots. The gold words on the spine are still mostly shiny. There is no cracking inside either the front or the back cover. The white endpapers have yellowed bur are otherwise mostly clean. I see no missing or torn pages and all are well-attached to the binding. They have yellowed, mainly around the edges, but are otherwise mostly clean. There are some spots along the page edges, seen when the book is closed. I see no writing in the book. The dust jacket has no large tears but does have some very short edge tears along the top edge, with a few very small bits missing. It has browned slightly and has a partially clipped price.
