Description: This a George Williams gunning decoy. Made of high-density Portuguese cork with a hand -carved wooden head and wooden keel, this Brant Goose decoy was used in hunting around Sheffield island in the Norwalk Islands in Long Island Sound in the 1990s. The signature and date (1995) are barely visible on the bottom of the bird. It is life size. There signs of wear from personally using this decoy.
