Description: This sterling serving spoon was made by George Smith III & William Fearn in London in 1790. Created in the Georgian style during the reign of King George III, the spoon was later redecorated to reflect the Victorian style. Both the front and back of the handle are engraved with floral detail and intricate lines. The handle is engraved with a stag crest. The bowl of the spoon is embossed with various fruits and its edges are crimped. The spoon is 8 7/8 inches long and weighs 51 grams. It is in very good condition, especially considering its age.
