JOHN LAWRENCE BASE anchor, J.L , f assayed in Birmingham, the makers Initials, 1829. It is in fantastic condition with no damage or repairs. The beautifully pierced grill is in fabulous order with a great hinge & the lid closes neatly. It is of rectangular form with a free cartouche on the top which is not monogrammed which makes it ideal for engraving as a gift or personalising. The lid & base are beautifully engine turned. The vinaigrette has reeded sides & raised borders . The gilt washed interior is made of a hinged grill pierced & engraved with foliate ornaments which is in great condition for its age.
