Description: I have endeavored to fill these jars with a mixture of opal pieces. Some are larger rubs that show evidence of fire inside. Some call them gambles. Other pieces are smaller but have definite fire visible enough to orient cutting to obtain the best results. Some are small chips suitable for inlay or mosaics. Photos show the process of filling the sample jar, from empty on scale, to full of opal on scale, to full of opal and water which shows in these pics as 4.4 oz. The dish of opal shown is a sample pic to show a hint of what will be inside. You will not received the opal shown in the dish, but rather the ones in the main 3 photos. They will be labeled as listed #s. Each bottle will have a mix of opal specimens. Best to Super scan the pics for greater details...any??? just write. Thanks. All my opals are part of large amount of jewelry making stock remaining in my inventory. My husband, Tom, was an award winning jewelry artist. Sadly he passed away before he could cut it all. The opals were purchased at the Tuscon Gem Show directly from the Aussie miners in the 1990's. It has been kept in water filled bottles. Please view my other listings if you care to. Thanks.
