Description: An early Staffordshire cat. Created from two piece mould (no firing cracks). Naively decorated in dark black sponged patches with yellow highlights. Fine hand painted whiskers. Super item, sadly its long life has resulted in the ears getting chipped. Good honest condition with no other damage and no restoration. Slightly rough clinker on the base from the firing process when it was made, but it sits nicely. Circa early 1800s Height 3 inches (7.5 cms)
