General Matthew Ridgway World War II & Korea Commander Signed Photograph

Description: General Matthew B. Ridgway [1895 1993] held several major commands during World War II, and is most noted for resurrecting the United Nations [U.N] war effort during the Korean War. During World War II, he commanded the 82nd Airborne, 8th Army, 15th Infantry and the XV111 Airborne Corps. In 1952, he was appointed as the Supreme Allied Commander in Europe and in 1953, he was appointed as Chief of Staff of the United States Army. Listed for auction is a photograph signed by General Matthew B. Ridgway. The photograph is military image as a four-star general which is signed ''M. B. Ridgway'' in fountain black pen. The photograph was released by the United States Army [stamped on the verso] it is a b/w 8.00 x 10.00 and is in fine condition. The autograph is authentic and the photograph is a desirable example of this prominent Army commander and will be accompanied with a typed letter from the Department of The Army, Office of The Chief of Staff, acknowledging the signed photograph.
