General John J. Pershing World War I AEF American Commander Autograph

Description: John ''Black Jack'' Pershing [1860 1948] was a senior United States Army officer who served as the commander of the American Expeditionary Force [AEF] on the Western Front during World War I. Pershing began his military career in 1886 and was a veteran of the Apache Wars, Sioux Wars, the Spanish American War, the Philippine-American War, the Moro Rebellion, the Mexican Revolution and the Pancho Villa Expedition. Listed for auction is the autograph of general John Pershing signed on an album page. The autograph is signed ‘’truly yours John J. Pershing Gen U.S.A.” in black fountain pen, the page measures 5.75 x 3.50 inches and is in fine condition with trivial toning. The autograph page contains an unidentified signature on the verso. The autograph is authentic, a perfect project example for display and is a nice example of this prominent United States Army commander.
