Description: We recently unpacked the last 80 pipes from my large collection as I prepare for retirement. Here’s another one just cleaned and restored… Gefapip Giant Billiard. Big Beautiful Billiard - great smoking pipe. A Gefapip is a French brand from the Saint-Claude region. Their products appeared in the 1979 Tinder Box catalog which is about when I bought this pipe. It always was a great smoking pipe. In excellent to very good condition. It is really large, and at 2.5 ounces, fairly light for such a large pipe. Draft hole is center and a hair’s breadth above the bottom of the chamber. Chamber interior is very sound and recently reamed. There is an effortless draw. Tenon to mortise union is sound, snug and flush. Vulcanite saddle stem is a crisp jet black bearing no marks. Pipe does not accept a filter. Pipe passes a cleaner with ease. just cleaned and sanitized.
