Garv Levi Levay Iridescent Glass Paperweight Intaglio Hand-Blown Pink Signed

Description: This was blown in Illinois by Hungarian born Gary Levi or Levay depending on the person (1945- ), Intaglio Glass Designs, Ltd., in the late 20th century. The iridescent finish added to this beautiful rose colored pink glass is delicate and beautiful, kind of in a little contrast to the actual weight. I like the flattened shape of this piece and it is blown and not just gathered. It is a hollow piece with threading and then the opening is "plugged" for lack of a better word. This is in good overall condition and is signed on the bottom. Please see pictures taken in both average room light and with a flash. As originally known, Levay Glass was originally formed as a distributor of pieces blown for him by major manufacturers, think Fenton, Westmoreland, Smith and other well-known glass houses. He then transitioned his business and was the glass blower and artisan himself. Mainly working in small pieces and paperweights. Approximate measurements: 3"Diam x 1"H 9 oz Note: Used condition.
