Making his 4th start of the year, Tim Hudson logged 7 innings yielding only 2 earned runs with 4 strikeouts. Unfortunately, Mike Morse provided the lone Giants run in the loss on a solo shot in the 5th, accounting for the veteran's 86th career home run. The Padres handed Hudson his first defeat of 2014 by scratching out 2 runs in 5 innings off the starter before adding another run in the 8th for a 3-1 victory. This lineup card also features current and future Hall of Fame manager, Bruce Bochy's authentic autograph. Despite the loss, the 2014 SF Giants ended the year 88-74 (2nd place) and again punched their ticket to the postseason. In the Wild Card game versus the Pirates, Brandon Crawford's grand slam and Madison Bumgarner's shutout propelled SF to an 8-0 road victory. The NLDS versus the Nationals featured the longest game in MLB postseason history (18 innings in game 2) but the Giants outlasted Washington in the series, winning 3 games to 1. En route to the franchise's 23rd pennant, the Giants dispatched the STL Cardinals in 5 games (4-1) in the NLCS.
