Description: You will receive a packet of 100 Seeds from our bright and cheerful Indian Blanket Flowers (Gaillardia Pulchella) growing in sunny Florida. Home grown naturally using regenerative growing methods with lots of love and zero chemicals, pesticides, or synthetic fertilizers. The seeds are from our most recent harvest and are fresh viable seeds ready to sow. Growing Info & TipsIndian Blanket flowers, also known as Firewheel flowers, are a beautiful flower to have growing in your garden as they add such a burst of bright color and are fantastic at attracting the pollinators. They are very easy to grow, in poor soil even, and are tolerant of sunny & dry areas. They can grow up to over 1ft wide & tall and will readily reseed themselves. Here in Central/Southern Florida, they will bloom all year if we have a mild winter. In others areas they bloom in the spring, summer and into fall. I love to grow these along our pathways for their pop of color! Some Native American Tribes believe they bring good luck and utilize the flowers & roots as a natural ally. For Sowing the Gaillardia Indian Blanket Flower Seeds: Indian Blanket Flower seeds are best sown in the spring, after the chance of a frost has passed. If you are in South or Central Florida you can sow them in the Fall as well. You can direct sow or grow them in flats or pots. Temperatures should be in the 65-85 degree F range for seeds to germinate. Sow the seeds ΒΌβ deep and keep the soil moist but not soggy. Indian Blanket Flower seeds can take 14-21 days to germinate so be patient. Ideal spacing is about 12β apart in an area that gets 8-12 hours a day of full sun. Please Note: All of my seeds are fresh and viable. Growing plants from seeds is fun! The majority of the time it is a success but sometimes itβs not. This just is the way it is with nature and gardening. I hope you experience success with all the seeds, however because I am not there to plant them, I cannot be responsible for germination failure due to improper planting or climate conditions etc. I do include a detailed note with planting advice with your order to help ensure your success. Shipping of Seeds: To keep the cost down for everyone, I ship my seeds via the Postal Service, USPS, by First Class Letter (a stamped envelope).
