This is a hand built, scale replica of the head frame that still stands there. Built to approximately 1:24 scale, this head frame could also work well with slightly larger or smaller scale trains such as 1:22.5 or Gauge 1. The head frame overall dimensions are 7" wide by 20" deep and it stands about 22 1/2" tall. The winch shack is about 6" wide by 8 1/2" deep and stands about 5 1/4" tall. Built from naturally insect and rot resistant Western Red Cedar, this structure has been assembled using galvanized steel fasteners and waterproof adhesives, then it was finished with premium exterior grade penetrating stain for additional protection and a weathered appearance. A perfect way to add some character to any electric or live steam garden gauge layout.
