Description: This frog stands 3 1/2" tall & measures 7 1/4" x 4". Green flambe frog has four holes for flowers and depicts a woman in a long dress with her hair braided down her back sitting in a canoe. The underside is marked with the rectangular Fulper ink stamp. This piece displays and functions very well despite its shortcomings. The company was originally founded as Samuel Hill Pottery in 1814, until 1860 when it became Fulper Pottery. The name changed to Stangl Pottery in 1955. The company ceased production and closed in 1978. A small chip off a rock near a hole as shown in photo 5, a flake off the rim of the canoe in photo 6, a flake off the side of a rock in photo 7, and finally a tight crack across the back of the woman as shown in photos 8 & 9. Some fine crazing here and there. All measurements are approximate. Photos are part of the description. Feel free to message us if you have any questions. Thanks.
