While every effort is made to protect this item, the seller is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any melting or breakage of the individual sticks that occurs during shipping. The boxes leave the seller whole and unmelted, and the boxes are sealed (have never been opened for food safety, so cannot add additional internal packing material). The boxes are then placed in a sturdy cardboard box for shipping. Rough handling by the shipping companies (Japan Post then domestic post company), being left in the sun or a hot mailbox/delivery truck are out of the control of the seller. In the case of damage, the buyer is responsible to take photos of the damage, including the outside packaging and the waybill label. The buyer must also bring all the contents and the outside packaging to their local USPS and file the damaged items claim (form PS3831) prior to being able to request any sort of refund or replacement. Storage: Avoid direct sunlight and store in a cool place below 28°C/ 82°F. As this is a consumable product, returns are generally not accepted. In the case of severe damage during shipping, please contact the seller with multiple photos of the damage in order to make an insured mail claim. You will also need to make a claim with the local postal company that delivered your package, as this cannot be done from abroad.
