Freshwater Aquatic Isopods (10)

Check out these little guys that are a keystone species in nature. I've found Freshwater Aquatic Isopods (or as I like to call them "Aquapods") to be great addition to my cleanup crew and they are pretty fun to watch run around. They lack the ability to swim, but that doesn't stop them from climbing up high on plants and jumping off with their legs flailing in the air. They are detritivores and in my experience they are totally harmless and do not eat live plants, viable fish eggs, or fry. I mainly culture them with Neocaridina shrimp & in my fry grow-out tanks and have found them to be quite prolific. They reach sexual maturity in about 4-5 weeks at 76f. Very easy to breed. Shipping is $12 USPS Priority. I ship them as far away from the weekend as possible Packages typically arrive in 2-3 days. ** I only ship Monday-Wednesday to avoid holdups over the weekend** will refund DOAs if the number of pod you receive is below 10. Please know some may be pretty small and easy to miss at first but they grow quickly! Care is very simple. I wouldn't overthink it too much. I use neocaridina paramters as a baseline for them.
