FRESH! Wild Honeyvine Milkweed 50-500 SEEDS~Organic~Climbing Bluevine Sandvine

Description: NOTE: I try to keep the cost with free shipping on small seed orders as low as possible by using first class letter mail without tracking. It works well, but sometimes is a little slow and very occasionally they don't show up at all. In order to be able to keep using this low cost service on Ebay, PLEASE do not open a case if you do not receive the seed order. There is no way for me to provide tracking for an open case, and they punish me for USPS mail failures. JUST MESSAGE ME DIRECTLY and let me know you haven't received them, and I'll resend them out for you. Look for the seeds (unless you pay for first class package with tracking) in your regular letter mail in a white envelope with a butterfly or flower sticker on it. Choose From 50 to 500 Seeds~ Cynanchum laeve~ Honeyvine Milkweedaka: Sandvine, Bluevine, Climbing MilkweedPERENNIAL FRESH 2022 seeds, just recently harvested and with a very high germination rate, over 90% I grappled a bit in the beginning, on whether it would be a good idea to sell these seeds. This was my first year of ever having it in or around my garden areas, and I had heard a VERY mixed bag of reviews about it from other gardeners. Just like anything else that's wild, you are going to have that group of gardeners who say "DON'T PLANT IT" "PULL IT UP" "IT'S HORRIBLE". So I expect that. But even amongst some of the wild crafters, they seem to shy away from actually planting this one and the reason is because, and I CAN attest to this... it can take over if you let it. And here is the reason; well, first of all, it's a perennial. So your one plant is going to most likely be there next season. But that ONE plant will have THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of seeds. Those gigantic beautiful pods that grow on the vines are chock full of hundreds of seeds, and each one has a huge kite on it like a dandelion kite, but MUCH larger!! So just one pod if left to its own devices can create a landscape full of honey vine. So just know that if you do plant this one, and you have lots of other plants that you treasure nearby.....you will have to be VIGILANT about removing those seed pods before they get a chance to pop open and release their bounty. If you do that.. and pull up the unwanted vines when you first see them emerge, it's relatively easy to control. NOW..... is it worth it....? to have to go through that amount of trouble, in order to have this vine. And for me, and just the fact that I'm now listing this pretty much answers the question..... the answer is a resounding... YES!!!!!!!!And here is why. The climbing vine will cover fence areas maybe back at the back of your property where you don't have time to do anything with, and create a lush solid wall of green heart shaped large and medium sized leaves. We even allow a few to climb up the rails on our front porch, and along the sides of the house. Because.... and this is reason number 2: They smell like honeysuckle. Which I'm sure is how they got their nickname. It's a very potent, and beautiful sweet smelling blossom! Now, to the third bonus and it's a big one: the Monarchs <3 IT. In fact, they paid very little attention to the massive planting of swamp milkweed that I had, and went almost exclusively to the honey vine when it was in that area. They seem to not only use it as a host plant for their larvae, but they also feed on the sweet blossoms and get their nectar so it does double duty. Now, for reason number 4: If you look closely at the top of picture 5, you will see the orange masses around the stems at the top. Those are aphids. And they also LUUUUV the honey vine. And yes, over time they will suck them dry, and I do go around and remove a lot of them. However, I do not remove them all. In fact I leave most of them early in the season BECAUSE.... they attract lady bugs. LOTS of lady bugs. They also attract bees like caaarrrrraazzzzy!!! I mean, the bees, well it's just like honeysuckle in that regard too. CONSTANTLY buzzing with bees and wasps... and flies, hoverflies.... just tons and tons of pollinators. Every kind of bee and wasp you can imagine, they will come from all over the neighborhood to suck on this wonderful plant. You have to be careful when handling it, because wasps are usually all over it. So you don't want to put your hand down on a feeding wasp. So use caution when working in it or around it. They will be inside there and you won't be able to see them. And for number 5: it's incredibly easy to grow. You don't have to do much. Just plant it, and let it do it's thing. It's the perfect eco system boosting plant, with the added benefit of being a Milkweed for the Monarchs. And as long as you put in the effort to keep it under control, it's a TOTAL WIN at a least in my experience with it. And as for those who are afraid of it getting loose and "taking over" like it's Japanese Kudzu or something.... it IS a native plant to North America. And it hasn't taken over yet. So, it is being balanced out in a natural setting. NO SWEAT! The seeds do need to be cold stratified, and these were harvested pretty late in the season, so they have not been stratified fully yet. They are being kept outdoors, exposed to some humidity but not enough to create mold, just outside air under protection from rain and snow. So by spring, they will be fully stratified. But if you purchase them before then, you will need to continue the stratification process, for best germination rates. The best ways to do this are to either just go ahead and plant them, by scratching them into the top soil and perhaps very lightly covering them with compost or top soil. Or by putting them in some damp sand, or with a very lightly wetted paper towel inside of a ziplock baggie and then put them in the refrigerator in the crisper so they get as cold as possible. You can even put them in the freezer for a few weeks as well and then bring them into the fridge for a couple of weeks to help them ease out of stratification. They prefer sunny locations, to stay lightly damp until germinated, and to have a fairly warm soil temperature (over 50 degrees F) to get them to want to sprout. Don't let them dry out fully while being chilled, check them every couple of weeks and give them a spritz of water, but do not make them soggy. Seeds will begin to sprout in usually about 14-21 days. These plants are not picky, and can take drought conditions for several days, but prefers to have at least a moderate amount of water intake. The healthier the plants stay, the least problems you will have with things like aphid infestations, or powdery mildew (another common problem, but good air circulation helps with that). I send seed orders that are $10 or less, out in stamped envelopes with the regular letter mail. Tracking will not be included with letter envelopes. Shipping usually takes about 3-5 days, but it can take longer so be a little bit more patient than you would if you had a package with tracking. You can pay for first class package shipping, and should have an option to do so in the listing. If you don't, let me know and I can fix that for you. Planting instructions and general plant information will be included with the seeds, and I always give extra seeds. I prefer to send EXTRA seeds of the ones you ordered, as opposed to sending a random "gift" seed as a bonus. Who knows if you actually want the seeds I'm sending you randomly. However, I DO know that you want the ones you ordered. So I give my "free gifts" in the way of extra seeds that you purchased. ;) *************************************************************SHIPPING: I ship individual orders of small and tiny seeds in regular first class letter envelopes without tracking to save you on shipping costs. *****If you order 4 or more seed items, order larger sized seeds, or large volumes of one seed type, I will send in a padded envelope with tracking automatically with the free shipping option. *****You can request 1st class shipping with tracking, or priority mail/priority express shipping with any order. If you chose "FREE SHIPPING", please note that many times you will not receive a tracking number when your order is marked complete. If you do not receive your seed order within 2 weeks of the date you ordered, contact me, and I'll resend your order. I do not give refunds or accept returns on seeds, but I will most certainly resend an order that does not show up due to USPS incompetence. I I do not accept returns on seeds, but will resend seed orders if they do not arrive within 14 days. we send out small seeds in regular letter envelopes. These do not have tracking. So if you haven't received your seeds within that amount of time, just let me know so I can send them out again for you. If there is a problem with your seed order, please let me know asap so I can resolve the issue for you! We <3 organic gardening and totally enjoy sharing the fruits of our labor with our friends here on eBay~ Every order is a blessing, and we want all of our fantastic buyers to be 100% happy with their purchase. So contact us ASAP if you aren't (for any reason) thrilled with your order. Happy and Blessed Growing!!!!****************************************************************
