Description: Throughout the last decade I have been blessed to have the opportunity of purchasing Wild Yellowstone Bison Robes from the Confederated Salish & Kootenai tribe-here in Northwest Montana. I've been solely operating a small tannery for the last 25 years- and selling my work here on eBay for 20 of those. Please see my feedback and buy with total confidence. My robes are tanned to order and are completely brand new when you pull them out of the box. No wondering how old the dressing on the blanket, or who else has cuddled your robe here. These are truly one of a kind items-no two are alike-that will last forever. Yellowstone Bison have a silkier, cleaner-more dense hair than domestic Bison. Many say the Yellowstone strain is the purist in the world. These robes are not just one of a kind art, but can also be used utilitarian style. Stay warm in a blizzard, use one as camouflage,dress up your home with a touch of the west, or throw one on your bed as a top comforter ( I have the most intense dreams when I sleep under mine, maybe because it's so warm:) Each of these wild robes is so individual in characteristics-that there is no stock photos here. The blanket you see is the one that you are buying in photos. This particular robe was harvested from a yearling bull and was harvested by a tribal member in late January near Gardiner, MT.100% prime super silky winter hair.These wild blankets are just plum full of Caramels, Cocoa's, Gold, Blonde, Black edges. This bull is extra blonde, and he just glows in the sun. Soft and supple-dark early fall dressed-natural gold leather with amazing suede. This robe measures 33" long by 17" wide-making it around 4sq.ft. The small size makes these pieces applications endless. Just about the right size for a pillow. Most of these wild Bison that I Tan-have numerous natural defects/scars. Most are on the flanks or legs. When they are super damaged-I trim the edges off. I call these robes- seat covers or Royals. The ergonomic size makes robes like this easy to put in backpacks or roll one up and put it on the back of your Harley!! There is numerous assorted skinning holes in the blanket-made by the hunter-that are NOT sewn.Very few scars or defects in the hair-clean and gorgeous! Please look at the pictures closely.
