Description: This is a good looking but heavy French made marked Japy Freres of Paris which are very desirable along with Marti's. It runs wonderfully and always has since I purchased it and is very attractive, I had it down on bottom shelve of display gallery and I like it so much and forgot about it its going on the fireplace mantel for a bit. At first I thought it was a metal dial but very much looks to be porcelain in excellent condition. Seems to have very little wear and movement is very clean and clearly marked Japy Freres. I tried to take some decent pictures to show it off a bit and to show I'm not hiding anything it is a attractive antique French made clock that runs great looks great and won't break the bank account. It is time and strike with the pleasant bell strike which is nice in the bedroom because doesn't make a racket for light sleepers. The movement looks good with minimal wear that I could see when I removed it. The case is good and I can see no signs of repairs as mentioned plus the glass is chip free. It measures about 15" wide x 9.5" tall x 6.5 and needs to go on a sturdy mantel or shelve. The strike is single on the half hour and proper number on the hour with the pictured nice sounding bell chime. I like to offer my clocks at good value and it runs wonderfully.I like the clock but have many many clocks and don't have the space to display them all so I'm hoping someone likes this very desirable maker 1880's -90's French crafted neat clock. I go over all my clocks before shipping and make sure I didn't miss anything and try my best to pack well. Everything goes insured just in case and my items are returnable. Please respect that and it does take a bit of time, I've been dealing clocks for over 30 years now, but boxes do occasionally get mishandled.
