French Gilt Bronzed Figural Lamp Candelabra Stone Base Figural Antique ~24” Tall

Description: This listing is for a “lamp-ified” French Gilt & Bronzed metal Figural Candelabra with a heavy Stone Base. This gorgeous Figural Antique measures around ~24” inches Tall, and has a distinctive neoclassical/ french style. I believe the candelabra itself & the stone portion of the base was made in the 1830s-40s, perhaps a little earlier or later, and then was modified to have a lamp in the early 20th century (likely 1900-1915). I have been unable to decide if it is better to removed the lamp portion and turn it back to just a candelabra (not a difficult process) or to leave it as is- so I have left that decision to the buyer & their preferences. It is not marked by a maker or artist that I have been able to find. Comes from a high end Pittsburgh estate. The design is excellent for many rooms and a large variety of decor styles. It makes this an excellent staple piece for your collection, one your friends definitely won’t have! A great collectors item, for use display gifting or decor. It is in good condition, with no major damage. Has some minor chipping around the edges of the bases rim. One area appears to have been repaired with chalk in the 1910s or so, and the chalk now shows. Could be colored back over, and is a small repair. The screw that holds the lamp post to the statue has slipped out and may need rethreaded. No cracking or chips to the statue, gilding seems good to the lilys.
