Description: HILTON HEAD HUMANE (HHH)THRIFT FRENCH BROAD RIVER DECOY COMPANY 1989 WOODEN HARE/RABBIT SCULPTURE DESCRIPTION: The French Broad River Decoy Company is best known for their bird decoys however, they also made other carved pieces for decorative purposes; the alert rabbit/hare featured in this listing was one of those. This bunny measures approximately 13" long; 5 1/4" wide and 4 3/4" high. It has a black and white finish that allowes the grain of the wood from which it is fashioned to show through. The eyes are glass and the mouth and nasal nares are carved into the snout. The French Broad River Decoy Company stamp; logo and year (1989) are burned into the bottom of the animal. The piece is in very good condition with only minor scratch and abstract marks visible on its body. Please review the photographs closely and contact us with any questions.
