Description: This is a lot of 2 used albums from the civil rights era in America. They're titled FREEDOM IN THE AIR a documentary on Albany, Georgia 1961-1962, featuring The Eagle Stirreth Her Nest. This was released in 1962 by Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee (#SNCC-101). The other lp is THE MARCH ON WASHINGTON A Chronological History of Negro Contributions, narrated by Ralph Cooper. This was released in 1963 by Mr. Maestro Inc., Spoken Series #1000. This album title is in the Collection of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. These are the original First Pressings/First Editions. See the pics for further details. The vinyl for Albany, Georgia is visually graded only Fair to G to G+ only due to some mold I'd say that is seen on both sides on the beginning of the record (in other words, the side that was at the open end of the jacket). It had been sitting for decades with other lp's (some listed today) in a basement that can of course become damp over years. There's also a little on the inner sleeve. Otherwise, it's almost clean & shiny except for that but it also has bits of dusty particles from sitting in the inner sleeve & jacket. I'm sure this record can be cleaned with the proper record cleaning solutions (or a record cleaning machine), neither of which I have. I don't have the equipment to play test the record so it's graded under a strong light & the naked eye. Whether this will affect play or be audible I can't say. The jacket is in worn to fair condition with dinged corners, ring wear, marks & scratches, etc., around it. Both the top & bottom seams are split and were at one time taped together with old school scotch tape. The original inner sleeve has a folded corner, spotting & a small seam split from the lp cutting into it. As of this writing, this record is appx 62 years old. The vinyl for The March on Washington is G+ to VG. It's clean & shiny with a hint of dust, fingerprints, and it looks rarely, if ever, played. The jacket is in good condition with just the upper right corner having an appx 1 1/4" seam split. There's minor wear & dings. The plain white generic sleeve is in good condition with creases evident. This record is 61 years old. THIS ITEM IS SOLD AS IS. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Shipping is FREE media mail in the USA.
