Frame size 10 1/2ins x 12 1/2ins). The painting is signed ‘T. Paddock’ bottom left and bears the artist’s name full name ‘Thelma Paddock Hope’ and her address of ‘440 Santa Ana Ave, Newport Beach, California’. Thelma Paddock Hope (1898-1991) although born in Indiana spent most of her productive life in Southern California. She lived at Corona del Mar and later at Newport Beach as is the case here. From 1940 to 1947, she was a studio painter of background canvases for MGM studies and lived in Beverly Hills.
