Description: Frank Frazetta Famous Funnies Portfolio Buck Rogers Cover IssueRuss Cochran (1975) In the early Fifties Frank Frazetta drew a series of 8 covers for Famous Funnies. Each featured the character of Buck Rogers which was being run in each issue. There were eight issues, #209 to #216, that have become some of the most sought after comics ever produced solely based upon the covers he drew. Frank's artwork is always impressive and this is one of the greatest examples of his work ever seen in comics. In 1975, Russ Cochran was just beginning his major project of reprinting EC comics directly from the original art work. He developed a portfolio with Frank Frazetta. As with the EC books, each image was reproduced from Frazetta's original artwork to which Frank then added in the coloring. This art is incredible to hold in your hands as you marvel over what he was able to create. The print is in Mint condition and is printed on heavy stock without type or logos. The print is approx. 12" x 14", and the overall framed size is approx. 22"x 16". This print is 47 years old and has been professionally framed and mounted in London by an art gallery. This will be an outstanding addition to any Buck Rogers art collection.
