Description: Set of three Gladding McBean & Co. ceramic dinner plates, marketed under the Franciscan name, in Coronado Swirl pattern, Aqua color. From 1953. Plates are dinner plate size, 10 inches in diameter. Two different backstamps on the plates. Smaller "half-moon" FRANCISCAN backstamp indicates the plate was made between 1949 and 1953. Larger circular backstamp has the Gladding McBean name and was used from 1953 to 1958. Plates are in good condition considering their age. See photos for details, condition and backstamps. There are some utensil marks evident on the plates as well as (possibly) some slight discoloration or fading. No chips or cracks.
