This set, picturing the Arc de Triomphe, was designed and printed by the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Washington, DC for use in France once it was liberated by the Allied forces. Stamps were turned over to the Provisional French Government for release in July 1944. 2015 Scott MNH catalog value is $46.55.
