Description: France 20th c: Trees and Rocks in the Fontainebleau Forest, Fine Postimpressionist I believe this fine French watercolor study of trees and rocks dates from the first third of the twentieth century, and that the place depicted is a typical corner of the Fontainebleau forest. The anonymous artist's delicate treatment of leaves evokes the manner of the great Corot. Immediate provenance is a fine arts auction at the Hotel Drouot, Paris. Dimensions, including a nice mat, are about 15.5 inches by 12.75 inches. Condition is quite good, and there is some real poetry here. This may be just the decoration you need for your living space. Very moderately priced. Shipping withing the U.S. will be $12. And to see what else I have for sale, please click here.
