The verso (reverse side) is blank. The images on the print are of an exceptional quality and detail. Its' text is in German. The lithograph illustrates the following royalty and nobility of 16th century France: a) Francis II (1543-1560), Elizabeth (Daughter of Henry II) as a Bride (1545-1568), Francis II as Dauphin - Oldest Son of King b) Antoine Bourbon - King of Navarre Father of Henry IV (1518-1562), Charles IX in Full Regalia, Francis II c) Charles IX of France (1550-1574), Eleonora (1554-1592) d) Henry d'Albret - King of Navarre (1505-1555), Claude de Lorraine Duke of Aumale (1515-1550) The entire piece measures: 13-3/8" x 17" (34 x 43,2cm). This large sheet is folded in the middle. It was once bound in book form and bears evidence of this along the fold at the back, where the paper is thinned just below the centerfold seam, although when laid flat, this is not visible from the front. The page is tanned due to age but is clean and the colors are bright. There is no foxing (little brown age spots). Odor-free. Smoke-free. Overall condition is: VERY GOOD. VERY SCARCE find!
